Panaz Launch New GTC Inspired Range

Over the past 12 months we have been collaborating with award winning textile editor and manufacturer Panaz, to reinterpret designs from our Collection.

Launched as The Archive Collection from Gawthorpe Hall, the range brings together fabric and wallcovering designs of the past with the manufacturing techniques of the future.

The Panaz team spent a series of days during 2018 viewing our collection of printed textiles, choosing five designs spanning the 19th and early 20th centuries. Updated for a contemporary market and available in a range of colours, the Panaz designs have been named after five female Shuttleworth family members.

Bringing drama and elegance to any interior design scheme, the collection features Rachel, an exquisite chinoiserie style floral; Beatrice, a stunning damask; Nina, a stylised parrot and floral; Freydis, a contemporary geometric basket weave and Ellen a classic stripe.

Panaz CEO Tony Attard commented “As a global business with our roots also in Burnley, it was an honour for Panaz to undertake this project, paying homage to this story of rich textile heritage with its home firmly in Lancashire”.

GTC Director Charlotte Steels added “We are delighted with this range. It is wonderful to see our heritage collection being used to inspire contemporary interior design. We are so lucky to have award winning manufacturers in Burnley such as Panaz who are continuing to champion Lancashire textiles around the world.”

Examples of the collection can be seen at Gawthorpe Hall or visit www.panaz.com for more details.
