This tea towel features a detail from the magnificent crewel work bed hangings designed and embroidered by Rachel Kay Shuttleworth. Although they were made in the early 20th Century the design is heavily based on 17th Century crewel work with a stylised Tree of Life and animal motifs such as the squirrel and parrot, both of which were very popular motifs of the time.

The tea towel is printed and finished for us in Lancashire and is made of 100% cotton dedsuti fabric.
